Vincent Van Gogh Starry Night Picture Study (Part 2)
Last week was so fun, the kids were crawling back for more. They kept asking me, “When is the next one, when is the next one?!” …next week ladies.
One of us couldn’t wait that long so she took matters into her own hands. Now we’ve got Starry Night paintings for days. That’s a good thing right? 😳 Not sure where we are going to keep all of them but at least she was inspired… for a long time. So long, I was able to do the laundry, write this post, and have a snack.
Let me know if this happens to you too… we could be on to something real good.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR VINCENT VAN GOGH PICTURE STUDY (PART 2):
1. Print a portrait of Vincent Van Gogh and his Starry Night painting using UPS’s online printing service. I printed my pictures on 80lb cardstock paper in colored matte. Instead, you could also use a book that has his picture and painting.
2. Find an excerpt in a book or do a search online to gather information about Vincent Van Gogh’s life and his Starry Night painting.
HOW TO DO PICTURE STUDY WITH VINCENT VAN GOGH’S STARRY NIGHT PAINTING (PART 2):
1. Recall what was learned the previous week. Review the artists name, location, and anything that can be remembered about the picture.
2. Look at the painting and discuss any new thoughts.
3. To discuss the painting further, ask some discussion questions like:
How would you feel if you were standing in the painting?
Does the painting remind you of an experience you’ve had before? Share.
What do you think the people are doing?
Or come up with some questions of your own!
5. Done! Easy peasy and it only took a few minutes!
